Our Mission

Our mission is to develop young runners in both mind and body.  Young runners require a fun, supportive environment to aid in aerobic development.  Character lessons will be shared at all practices and satellite members will have online access to these lessons.  We want to bridge the gap between small school youth runners & larger, more priviledged programs.

Our Coaches

Josh Huffman, Youth Coach

Josh was four-time most valuable cross country runner at Tillamook High School and two-time 3,000m track & field state finalist.  He is a running enthusiast finishing the Boston Marathon in 2:53.19 in 2008.  He’s completed the McDonald Forest 50k ultramarathon in both 2009 and 2012 with a 5:39.44 best time.

Chelsea Yarnell, Youth Director

Chelsea attended her first track meet at just six months old and running has been an integral part of her life since. After being an 8 varsity letter for cross country and track at Lakewood High School in WA, she spent three years running for the Bruins at George Fox University. She’s coached cross country and track at both the high school and junior high level in Tillamook County since 2014.

Patrick Zweifel, Track Club Director

Patrick is the head cross country and track coach at Tillamook High School.  He has been a part of six state championship team titles, four as an athlete and two as a coach.  He has three individual state titles and has coached numerous individuals to state titles.  He competed collegiately at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  He is founder to both the Ultimook Race and Ultimook Running Camp.

Our mission is to develop long distance runners in both mind and body.  Our Youth Track Club is focused on long-term aerobic development with a strong emphasis on character development.

We want all young athletes to have the opportunity to maximize their abilities.  This can be achieved by complementing a current program or by helping bridge the gap between small school athletics and more privileged programs.  We teach about progression, goal setting, teamwork, and old school grit.

We currently offer four youth programs–Spring, Summer, Fall, and Extended Fall (XC championship season).  Year-round progressive running is the key to continued improvement.  Sign up for a season of running and join our team!
